Club Options for Alameda Ultimate Players
For Alameda Ultimate players interested in pursuing additional development and highly competitive playing opportunities outside of the Alameda program, there are two Bay Area club teams that players can try out for — Bay Ultimate Youth Association (BUYA) and OAK Ultimate. Over the years, many Alameda Ultimate players have played with BUYA and OAK Ultimate. These clubs are separate from and not affiliated with Alameda Ultimate. Each club holds tryouts each year to form their teams. Playing with a club team is a great way for players to improve their skills and form friendships with Bay Area players from outside of Alameda.

Annual Youth Club Championships Tournament
The Youth Club Championships ,commonly known as YCC, is an annual tournament held in August in Aurora, Colorado. Teams from all over the country attend. Players try out for a spot on competitive club teams run by two Bay Area organizations: BUYA and OAK Ultimate. Teams are sent in several categories: U17 Girls, U17 Boys, U20 Girls, U20 Boys, and U20 Mixed. Players on these teams train spring and summer and then compete in August.
BUYA has five teams - U20 girls, U20 boys, U20 mixed, U17 boys, and U17 girls. These teams participate in the annual YCC tournament. Beyond forming teams for YCC, BUYA also runs two U20 travel teams which train and compete during the Winter months, one for women and the other for open.
OAK Ultimate runs three teams, U20 boys/open , U20 girls, U17 girls, U17 boys/open and a U15 middle school development team. The U20 and U17 teams complete at the annual YCC tournament. OAK’s teams train throughout the school year and participate in local tournaments in the Bay Area.
