Spirit of the Game

A unique and defining characteristic of Ultimate is its “Spirit of the Game” ethos. In the sport of Ultimate players are responsible for self-officiating their games. There are no official umpires or referees. Players are expected to develop a deep understanding of the rules, make their own calls, and demonstrate a high level of respect for their opponents, their teammates, and themselves.
